North State Building Industry Association Joins Strong and Growing Coalition In Support of Ashby Campaign
Sacramento, CA – Sacramento City Mayor Pro Tem Angelique Ashby announced today that she has received the endorsement of the North State Building Industry Association in the 2016 mayor’s race. Their support adds to the strong, diverse, and growing coalition that is gaining momentum behind Ashby’s campaign.
North State BIA represents more than 400 homebuilder and associate members who are creating tens of thousands of jobs in the region and helping realize the dream of homeownership for Sacramento families.
“As Vice Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem, Angelique Ashby has shown a passionate commitment to creating new housing opportunities for Sacramento families and has fought to improve flood protection, reduce crime and strengthen our community,” North State Building Industry Association President Michael Strech said. “The North State BIA is proud to endorse her for Mayor.”
“The North State BIA builds homes for our community’s families and creates thousands of living wage jobs in our region,” Ashby said. “I’m honored to have their support.”
Ashby’s strong and growing coalition includes public safety leaders: the Sacramento Police Officers Association, Sacramento Firefighters Local 522, and retired Sacramento DA Jan Scully, and the majority of Sacramento’s state representatives: Senator Dr. Richard Pan and Assemblymember Jim Cooper.
