Angelique Ashby Endorsed By Sacramento County Supervisor Susan Peters

Peters Joins Growing Bipartisan Coalition Uniting in Support of Ashby’s Campaign for Mayor

SACRAMENTO, CA — Sacramento Councilmember Angelique Ashby announced today that she has received the endorsement of Sacramento County Supervisor Susan Peters. Peters’ endorsement adds to the growing bipartisan coalition that is building and gaining momentum behind Ashby’s campaign.

“From her track record of reducing crime in Natomas to her commitment to reviving Sacramento’s downtown and bringing high wage jobs to our region, Angelique is the clear choice for Sacramento families,” County Supervisor Susan Peters said. “Angelique Ashby is the mayor that Sacramento needs to keep the positive momentum moving forward and I’m proud to endorse her campaign for mayor.”

“Since joining the County Board of Supervisors in 2005, Susan Peters has been a true leader — moving our city and county forward, fighting to create local jobs, and reducing crime in our local communities,” Ashby said. “I’m proud to announce her endorsement of my campaign.”

Ashby’s strong and growing coalition includes labor, business and key local leaders. Her endorsements include the Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange, Sacramento Laborers Union, Local 185, the North State Building Industry Association, the Sacramento Firefighters Local 522, the Sacramento Police Officers Association, and the majority of Sacramento’s state representatives: Senator Dr. Richard Pan and Assemblymember Jim Cooper, as well as many more key community leaders.
