Sacramento’s Oldest & Largest Commercial Construction Association Joins Broad, Diverse and Bipartisan Coalition Uniting in Support of Ashby’s Campaign for Mayor
SRBX calls Ashby the Best Candidate to Keep Sacramento Moving Forward
SACRAMENTO, CA — Sacramento City Councilmember Angelique Ashby announced today that she has received the endorsement of the Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange. Their endorsement adds to the broad, diverse, and growing bipartisan coalition that is gaining momentum behind Ashby’s campaign.
“As Mayor Pro-Tem and Vice Mayor, Angelique Ashby has provided a constant and unwavering level of new energy and leadership to Sacramento. Ashby’s collaborative, results-driven approach has been instrumental to revitalizing our downtown through new construction and redevelopment, while also strengthening neighborhoods, fighting crime and improving public safety, and creating new opportunities for small businesses and job creation in our region,” Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange Political Action Committee Chairman Frank Radoslovich said.
Founded in 1901 and serving more than 1,200 member companies, the Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange is the construction industry’s oldest and largest association in the region supporting area contractors and subcontractors, suppliers and industry support organizations.
“I’m honored to have the support of the more than 1,200 local businesses that make up the Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange,” Ashby said. “Their members are local businesses and community leaders who have — quite literally — invested in the future of our city. They’re supporting my campaign because we agree that, if we work together, we have a real opportunity to keep moving our city forward. As Mayor Pro Tem that’s the kind of collaborative approach that I have taken, and that is how I will lead as Sacramento’s next mayor.”
Radoslovich concluded “Angelique Ashby is the clear choice to keep Sacramento moving forward and the Sacramento Regional Builders Exchange is proud to stand in strong support of Ashby’s campaign for Mayor.”
Ashby’s strong and growing coalition includes labor, business and key local leaders. Her endorsements include Sacramento Laborers Union, Local 185, the North State Building Industry Association, the Sacramento Firefighters Local 522, the Sacramento Police Officers Association, and the majority of Sacramento’s state representatives: Senator Dr. Richard Pan and Assemblymember Jim Cooper, as well as many more key community leaders.
